Can Zeolite drops help with speech?

As a mom, I’ll try anything (within reason) to support my child’s development — especially when I feel like something might be slightly off or delayed. I’m not a doctor, and I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I am someone who listens to her intuition and pays attention to her child’s needs. I do my own research to see if there's anything that is in my control to help my child.

So when I kept seeing videos on TikTok about these zeolite drops that supposedly help kids detox, focus, and even start talking more, I was intrigued. I watched countless videos of other moms sharing their experience, and it sparked something in me. Could this be the thing that helps my son, too?

My son is 22 months old, and while he’s been saying a few words here and there, I noticed his speech wasn’t progressing as much as I had hoped. I try not to compare him to other kids, but sometimes it’s hard not to notice that other toddlers his age seem to be saying full sentences or using more words. I know every child develops at their own pace — and I’m so proud of him no matter what — but deep down, I felt like there might be something that could help him along.

So I bought the zeolite drops through TikTok Shop. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try something natural. Zeolite is a mineral that’s said to bind to toxins and heavy metals in the body, helping with detoxification. Some parents claim it helped their children focus more or begin talking after using it — and while I was skeptical, I was also hopeful.

I started giving my son the drops once a day in his water. At first, nothing changed. The first couple of days felt completely normal — same babbles, same routines. But after about a week or so, I started to notice something shift. He began repeating more words. He started pointing to things and naming them more confidently. I felt like we were finally getting somewhere.

It could be the drops. It could be natural progress. It could be both. But I’m celebrating it either way.

He’s more engaged during playtime. He’s trying to mimic more words when I speak to him. He is a sponge. He’s even picked up a couple of not-so-great words (thanks to my slip-ups or what he hears around), which just shows how fast he’s absorbing language now. It’s a little embarrassing — but also kind of amazing how much he's soaking in. It might seem small to others, but to me, every single new word feels like a win. Like something is clicking. Like he’s opening up more and more each day.

Now, don’t get me wrong — I’m not saying zeolite drops are a miracle cure or that every parent should rush out to buy them. What I am saying is that for us, this little experiment felt like it made a difference. I don’t know if it was the drops, or if the timing just happened to align with a developmental leap. But either way, I’m glad I tried.

I’m always going to be an advocate for doing what feels right for your child. Whether it’s speech therapy, more one-on-one time, natural supplements, or just patience and love — trust yourself. You know your baby better than anyone.

If you’re thinking about trying zeolite drops, talk to your pediatrician and do your own research. For me, this was just another one of those “mom gut” moments where I felt like I needed to explore something new — and I’m glad I did.

Have you tried anything from TikTok that ended up being a win for your child? I’d love to hear about it. And if you’re on this journey of toddlerhood, speech delays, or just curious mom moments — you’re not alone. We’re all figuring it out, one step at a time.
